Drug Cartels Feeling the Pinch
A recent story on NPR nicely captures the promised benefits of legalized marijuana. The story focuses on a farmer who grows marijuana for the Sinola Cartel, perhaps the most violent of the drug gangs exporting pot into the US.
The farmer is bemoaning the skidding price of marijuana now that American consumers are shifting largely into legal marijuana. The price per kilo has dropped by about half. The farmer notes, “It’s a big difference. If the U.S. continues to legalize pot, they’ll run us into the ground.”
Well Said!!
